I founded my own plublishing house under the name Forlaget Pantanal in 2023 in connection with the self-publication of volume 2 of the series 'Victims of Hothouse Earth', which was scheduled for release later that same year. At that time, I had already become acquainted with the limitations we authors often encounter when dealing with established publishing houses and co-publishing companies. For me, it is important to have full control over my books—over the marketing, the print run, the lifespan of the book, translations, and so on. That is why I founded Forlaget Pantanal with the sole purpose of publishing my own books.

Forlaget Pantanal is named after the world's largest tropical wetland of the same name. Pantanal is mostly located in the western part of Brazil, but it also extends into Paraguay and Bolivia. Geographically, Pantanal is larger than the whole of England.
Pantanal boasts an extraordinary level of biodiversity, unmatched anywhere else in the world. It is home to more jaguars than any other place in South America. Millions of caimans can be found there, and the area is also a habitat for the endangered Hyacinth Macaw, which forms the logo of my publishing house. This bird species, with its many colourful subspecies, symbolises the diversity we aim to bring into climate literature.
Unfortunately, Pantanal also suffers from the effects of climate change and mankind's greedy exploitation of the region’s natural resources. If we can raise even a little more awareness about this remarkable spot on Earth, then a large part of my mission will have been accomplished.
